	Sugar and Phoenix This mare has been named Sugar. She came to us the first week in July. Sugar is about 20 yrs old and heavily bred. We have been on foal watch ever since. Sugar and 5 other pregnant mare came to us. Sugar has a secret! After 5 weeks of foal watch, Sugar finally shared her secret. She had a fast and easy birth. We were all on edge about her delivery. We had no idea of her care because she came to us. During the last two weeks of her pregnancy, we were very concern about her. She was carrying a huge baby and looked so uncomfortable. She had the largest bag i have ever seen. The photos below, just doesn't show how big she and her utter truly were! Sugar gave birth just after 5 am on July 5th 2007. Phoenix was up and nursing within a hour of birth. He is a black and white Appaloosa. 12 hours later 2 weeks old LOOKS AT THOSE FUZZY EARS! What a hoot! 1 month old 2 1/2 months Meeting of the minds!
