The American Horse Defense Fund opposes the slaughtering of horses for human consumption. We represent
thousands of Americans all across the country and as the nation's premier nonprofit horses-only protection,
education and advocacy organization, we are actively seeking passage of the American Horse Slaughter
Prevention Act that is before Congress. Horse slaughter is an inhumane business. The horses suffer
from every aspect of the slaughter process from transport to the actual slaughter. We disagree with
many officials that slaughtering our nation's horses and ponies is a "legitimate" business (as Mr. Hopkins
said in a reply to the AHDF ). Horse slaughtering is NOT a legitimate, respectable business! It is an
obscene business! It needs to end.
Tell others about AHDF
the issues and where to get information to help horses.
