FAQ'SType in your Search Term
How do I join the AHDFYou can join the AHDF by going to the Join Us page and joining online by paying your dues via Paypal or by printing out our membership form and mailing a check or money order for your dues to the address on the form. Back to TopWhere can I find the AHDF contact information? At the bottom of every page is a link to the AHDF by email, phone or mail. We appreciate all of your correspondences and look forward to hearing from the public on any and all of the issues involving equine welfare. Back to TopWhy doesn't the AHDF take political positions or endorse candidates? The AHDF is a recognized 501 c 3 organization. The IRS prohibits certain political activity and the involvement of these organizations in political activities. Any and all lobbying activities that AHDF participates in are privately funded, and are not a part of the AHDF budget, although the IRS does allow a certain amount for these activities. The AHDF does not support any political party and certainly doesn't endorse ANY candidates, even those that support our activities. As individuals we are sure that our members, Board and staff may have political opinions, but those are theirs and theirs alone. The AHDF cannot and does not have any political positions. Back to TopWho is on the AHDF Board of Directors? The AHDF has a varied and diverse Board. All of our board members have or had involvement in the equine industry. You can find the information on our Board by visiting our page on our board. Back to TopWhat is the AHDF's position on...?The AHDF has an official position on most issues relating to horses and you can find them by viewing our various pages on the issues. If you do not find your issue on these pages it is likely that we haven't taken a position. For the AHDF to take a position it must be one that our members find compelling and can agree on. Unlike other organizations we do not just take a position based just on our board's recommendation, but on those of a majority of our members as well as our Board. Back to TopWhen is the AHDF's next lobby trip to DC planned? When we have an event planned you will find it on our events page. If you do not see an event planned that you are interested in please check back as we list events frequently and update the page as needed. Back to Top
