HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR HORSES!
VOLUNTEER!!!
WITH AMERICAN HORSE DEFENSE FUND
AHDF is a fully incorporated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We depend on membership donations as
our main income source and we rely on a dedicated volunteer staff to continue our work for horses.
AHDF has many opportunities available for volunteers who are able to work from their home and,
in particular, on a computer. Volunteer positions with AHDF are not financially compensated. However,
they can provide experience that will be personally rewarding and an asset in your professional endeavors.
Thanks to our volunteers, who are passionately concerned with the welfare of horses, AHDF was able
to accomplish important objectives towards improving the treatment of horses in the U.S. Currently, AHDF is
actively supporting legislation that would end the slaughter of horses in the U.S. AHDF continually works to
educate government officials, the public, the media and members of Congress on and promote the many viable
and humane alternatives to the brutal killing of our nation’s horses. Other AHDF campaigns aim to inform
the public of the terrible abuse horses suffer on Premarin® production farms, from soring, and due to neglect
and abuse from their owners.
A few available AHDF positions are listed below. If you are interested in these or donating your
time and talents to AHDF in any capacity, please fill out an AHDF volunteer application and return it to us.
When your application is received, you will be contacted by our volunteer coordinator to further discuss
what you may like to do for AHDF.
We look forward to hearing from you and working with you to help make a better world for all equine
species.
